FOS Marketing Team Lead - Simplebid

The Opportunity:

Facility Optimization Solutions (FOS), a subsidiary of CannonDesign, is looking for a Marketing Team Lead to support our Simplebid® business unit.

In this position, you will help identify and pursue target clients, opportunities, and growth strategies in conjunction with the Marketing and Leadership team. You will be heavily relied upon to lead comprehensive proposals that attract the ideal client, grow our market base, and further develop our brand.

Your Responsibilities:

Opportunity Generation

  • Review JOC RFPs under consideration and lead go/no-go team decisions
  • Engage with potential JOC clients on discovery calls to produce proposals that reflect their needs
  • Maintain opportunity records in Deltek VantagePoint database

Team Management

  • Manage proposal team’s calendar, workflow, and internal tasks and deadlines within the Trello project management system, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality proposals
  • Manage the Simplebid® Marketing team, ensuring that direct reports are empowered, engaged, and encouraged to grow in their expertise
  • Manage organization and upkeep of shared marketing file structure

Production / Operations Interface

  • Develop either written or design-based market-specific content for FOS marketing pursuits
  • Quality control/assurance on proposals – review work by team members in terms of adherence to brand standards, grammar, clarity, and conformance to owners’ requirements, format, and delivery instructions
  • Create board-level executive summary presentations for recently concluded projects that highlight process, results, and key takeaways for client leadership and stakeholders
  • Representing the marketing department at weekly internal leadership meetings
  • Interface with senior project managers to develop written materials, including non-competitive letter proposals and added-service proposals
  • Assistance in interview preparation, presentation development, and coaching and support

Closeout and Metrics

  • Manage the proposal content library within the Loopio RFX management system
  • Manage the sales-to-service transition process
  • Ensure marketing KPIs are established and monitored on a regular basis
  • Oversee marketing research efforts (e.g., public research, target client research, ROI data etc.)

Firm Engagement

  • Engage with CannonDesign market leaders to proactively identify shared opportunities to engage with clients outside of formal procurement cycles
  • Participate in CannonDesign Brand Marketing and Business Development (BMBD) initiatives and strategy meetings with Marketing Team Leads from all regions
  • Interface with CannonDesign legal, compliance, and accounting team members

 General Responsibilities:

  • Participate in FOS Leadership strategic planning efforts.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Required skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
  • 7+ years related experience required; market-specific experience is a huge plus.
  • Excellent written communication, editing, and research skills a must.
  • Superior verbal, presentation, and public speaking skills desired but not required.
  • Demonstrated success in marketing professional services and products (regardless of industry)
  • Related experience working in a marketing or communications role for a professional services firm required.
  • Must be proactive, self-driven, organized, detail-oriented and have an enthusiasm for innovation.
  • Strong time and project management skills are essential, along with the ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Solid skills in management, strategic thinking, and writing or design—with the potential and/or interest to further develop/excel in at least one of these areas.
  • Strong proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, CRM including Deltek CRM Vision and HubSpot.
The salary range for this position is $70,300 to $87,875 annually.  This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses. We offer a full benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage and flexible spending account options and voluntary insurances.
