How Will You Make an Impact?

Support and maintain aseptic/non-aseptic manufacturing areas The candidate will also need to be flexible to support other shifts as needed. As a Formulation Technician II, you will play a vital role in producing sterile injectables and working on moderate-scale problems that require analysis and critical thinking. You will follow written and verbal instructions to ensure that pharmaceutical products are manufactured in accordance with industry guidelines and regulations. Night shift hours are 6pm-6am on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule.


A Day in the Life:

  • Ensure pharmaceutical products are manufactured in accordance to area SOPs and current cGMP. 

  • Verify and document production activities in batch records, logbooks and controlled forms. 

  • Work inside of a graded clean room 

  • Complete assembly, disassembly of manufacturing and filling equipment 

  • Perform Cleaning/Sterilization of Manufacturing Tanks, and Filling lines 

  • Perform filter integrity test 

  • Operate Parts washers and sterilizers 

  • Perform filling task such as: Tray loading, Vial Washer setup and operation, stopper/Cap process vessel preparation, Inspection of glass, Monitor filling isolator 

  • Assist with initial/subsequent validation of filling equipment and processes. 

  • General material handling 

  • Maintain/clean classified areas. 

  • Mechanical troubleshooting 

  • Participate in the On the Job (OJT) training program, area safety and Lean Manufacturing initiatives and Train new employees. 

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.


Experience:

  • Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field
  • Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • General mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge. 

  • Mechanical troubleshooting (manufacturing equipment preferred) 

  • Aseptic Cleaning, Equipment/parts cleaning and sterilization 

  • Clean room gowning/technique 

  • Good documentation practices 

  • Good written and oral communication 

  • Ability to use a computer 

  • Ability and desire to learn 


Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time 

  • Work with cross-functional teams comprised of diverse individuals. 

  • Ability to manipulate (lift, carry, move) weights of 25-50 pounds; occasionally pushing and pulling 50-100+ pounds. 

  • Full range of motion in upper and lower extremities.
