Form Shop Carpenter

Job Description:

Position Summary: Performs different tasks including demolition, stocking, and clean-up of materials that are used to support the successful completion of our projects. Exposure is provided to the various trades that work in the field.

ESSENTIAL Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load, transport, unload equipment, and supplies.
• Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.
• Perform other routine duties as directed by Foreman.
• Build concrete forms.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Performs tasks involving use of hands and tools; i.e. sawing lumber, dismantling forms.

Education/Experience:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Work independently, as well as within a group.
• Work rapidly and accurately with hands.
• Repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure.
• Climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding.
• Work from a secured elevated position.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at heights as required.
• Lift and carry objects weighing 50-70 pounds.
• Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects.
• Follow specific directions. Stand and walk for long periods.
• Judge straight lines, spaces, and proportions.
• Read and understand measuring tools.
• Compare and see differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.
