You will need:
One year of forestry experience, fire experience, or other experience related to the class concept, such as construction, parks maintenance, landscaping, or agriculture.
OR
One year of correctional officer, group life coordinator, or other related experience coordinating or directing the work of others (e.g., orienting, motivating, scheduling, assigning, reviewing, etc.)
AND
A valid driver’s license.

South Fork Camp is located between Tillamook and Forest Grove on Wilson River Hwy. A typical work week is Monday-Thursday. Work hours are 6:30-4:30. Transportation pick-up and drop off (ODF Van) is provided to and from Tillamook and Forest Grove ODF offices daily. Staff Housing is available at no cost during the work week if needed.

FOREST CREW COORDINATOR (FCC)
Since 1951, ODF has utilized Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC), Adults in Custody (AIC) to maintain and protect state forest lands. As a Forest Crew Coordinator, you will direct the activities of AICs and provide guidance and direction in direct support of State Forest Management and Fire Protection Programs. Most of this work is conducted on state land directing and coordinating a 10-man AIC work crew completing reforestation and recreation work. During the summer AIC crews also function as a 10-person wildland fire suppression crew. We are looking for someone who is eager and willing to work in an outdoor forestry environment associated with this job. This includes:
*Potential eligibility for overtime/comp time.
*Pathway for promotion.
Work Capacity Test Requirement
Some jobs, like firefighting, require passing a job-related Work Capacity Test to meet minimum qualifications. Such tests help ensure that prospective workers have the capacity to perform work without undue fatigue and without becoming a hazard to themselves or coworkers. Wildland firefighters must meet minimum levels of fitness requirements for the type of duties they are assigned. For more information, see link: Work Capacity Test.
