Job Summary: Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Foreman I Powerplant Maintenance. Major Duties:

  • Performs the work of a power plant journeyman at the Hungry Horse Field Office in one of the crafts (Electrical, Mechanical, Operations, or Power Systems Control) typically found in a hydroelectric power plant. Serves as a lead worker and as such, communicates the goals, priorities, and deadlines for completion of work as established by supervision to the variety of craft, engineering, and administrative staff. Provides subject matter expertise on Operations and Maintenance technical practices during normal preventative maintenance as well as emergent/emergency corrective maintenance actions typically found in a power plant environment. Utilizes a variety of types of prints found in a power plant and water conveying facility, such as 1 lines, 3 lines, schematics, mechanical, and civil drawings, etc. and instructs other craft workers in the use of these resources. Uses defined standards such as those found in Facilities, Instructions, Standards and Techniques (FIST) documents, Reclamation Safety and Health Standards (RSHS), OSHA, National Electric Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), etc. to ensure compliance with programs for the safe, efficient, technically sound operations and maintenance of powerplant equipment and systems.
