What is the opportunity?
This role is responsible for timely and accurate fulfilment of foreign exchange trades and investments (input and authorization) received from Treasury Front Office Pan Caribbean, Card Operations, Trust Company and Finance Pan Caribbean. This role also ensures the timely and accurate completion of Management and Regulatory reports for submission to Group Market Risk, Treasury Front Office and the respective Regulators for the Trinidad and Bahamas markets. The role is accountable to internal, external risk mitigation and compliance guidelines, as well as industry regulations, in order to facilitate operational excellence.
What will you do?
- Responsible for the input/authorization of all Pan Caribbean transactions directed and assigned to FX & Treasury in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensure prescribed policies, processes and procedures as outlined are strictly followed, particularly compliance to Privacy and Anti Money Laundering (AML) requirements
- Completion / verification of all Pan Caribbean Open Currency Position, Management and Regulatory reports in a timely and accurate manner, inclusive of but not limited to the following: Settlement Risk Blotter, Unsettled Trades, Daily Foreign Exchange Report, Central Bank Weekly Trading Position, Central Bank Intervention, Central Bank CB01 / CB02, Central Bank of Bahamas B$ Position – Bahamas & FINCO
- Ensure compliance of all established Delegated Limits of Authority and / or Trading Limits accordingly
- End of day queue management, ensuring all items received in good order were actioned in accordance to established Service Level Agreements
- Responsible for the accurate and timely review and distribution of all transactions received in the generic mailbox, ensuring compliance of all established Delegated Limits of Authority and/or Trading Limits accordingly

- Take ownership for improving capability through building the necessary skills (including technical), competencies and accreditation to meet service level needs
- Provide relief in applicable portfolios during periods of planned and unplanned absences
- Proactively identify opportunities and lead initiatives for continuous improvement impacting the client experience, operations risk and process efficiencies
- Adhere to operational improvements/changes for positive impact on department’s processes.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
- Diploma in Management or related discipline or equivalent education/training in a related field
- Minimum five (5) years’ banking experience with specific exposure to payments processing
- Sound RBC business knowledge including areas such as Operations, Sales & Enablement, as well as Personal, Business and Corporate Banking
- Sound judgement, analytical thinking, and decision making capabilities
- Ability to multi-task and adjust to the demands and needs of clients and service partners and demonstrate attention to details and strong organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of core banking applications inclusive of T24 and RIBS; as well knowledge of stand-alone applications such as SWIFT Alliance and BESS
- High proficiency in use of Microsoft Product Suite inclusive of Excel, Word, SharePoint and PowerPoint
Working Conditions
