Forecasting Manager – General Medicines Business Unit

This role supports the US General Medicines Forecasting team within US Commercial Finance to establish and maintain accurate and insight driven gross sales and patient forecasts in close collaboration with a broad spectrum of functions within the US. This role requires strong analytical skills and a wide variety of methodological approaches to forecasting as well as in-depth understanding of the US pharmaceutical market dynamics.

  • Establish, document, and maintain in-line products financial and manufacturing volume forecasts and annually revise Long-Range Forecast, in partnership with stakeholders.

  • Maintain SKU level forecasts for General Medicines brands.

  • Evaluate US market trends, competitor product landscape and competitive positioning as part of US Forecast development.

  • Develop, document and present US Forecast, assumptions, opportunities, and risks, to multiple management levels.

  • Ensure accuracy of forecasts through industry standard accuracy and bias metrics; identify corrective actions as appropriate.

  • Support US financial submissions and quarterly earnings call, as needed.

  • Collaborate and partner effectively with various stakeholders across the enterprise, including Marketing, Commercial Insight & Analytics and Managed Market teams, support senior management requests.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • BS/BA degree in Finance, Analytics, Statistics, Business, or related area

  • 5 years of post-degree experience in the following:

    • Utilizing and maintaining financial, analytics or gross sales forecast models with multiple variables and event modeling.

    • Analyzing market data and trends, assessing financial/commercial impacts and identifying risks and opportunities.

    • Create/modify reports/dashboards/presentations for forecast cycles

    • Proficiency in MS Excel working with substantial amounts of data, financial and/or analytical data modeling involving multiple inputs.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Experience providing clear and concise messaging to multiple management levels.

  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint

  • Strong learning agility to build business acumen.

  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills.

  • Proven collaboration skills and able to work effectively across a matrix environment.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.

  • Experience in pharma, biotech or alike

  • Familiarity and experience using digital capabilities to enhance automation and standardization.
