What you will do:
the Forecast Analyst will play a vital role in analyzing and interpreting data to create and maintain the consensus forecast plan at multiple levels of aggregation, using statistical models, and leveraging insights from Product Management, Sales, and Marketing. The consensus forecast plan includes expected sales from JCI parts distribution centers to indirect and direct customers. This role is responsible to manage forecast plan of several hundred million dollars across multiple business units.
How you will do it:
Develop accurate and reliable forecast by utilizing statistical forecasting models, demand planning tools and market intelligence.
Analyze historical sales data, seasonality, market trends to identify key factors influencing aftermarket demand and improve forecast accuracy.
Monitor forecast accuracy, forecast bias and provide regular reports and analysis to stakeholders. Identify root causes of forecast errors and implement corrective actions.
Continuously refine and improve forecasting methodologies.
Establish and lead Demand review meetings to develop consensus forecast.
Collaborate with cross functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product management to gather inputs and develop consensus forecast.
Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets. Identify patterns, correlations, and trends to extract meaningful insight for aftermarket parts planning.
Partner with Analytics team to develop digital solutions that drive insight into major supply chain metrics such as Customer On-time delivery, Forecast accuracy and bias, fill loss analysis.
Evaluate, compare and define gaps in forecast plan against top-down business objectives.
Work closely with Inventory optimization analyst and Supply planning team to resolve complex demand/supply imbalance while improving customer OTD and optimizing inventory levels.
Partner with Product Management to successfully transition parts, both end of life and new product introduction.
Develop, maintain, and leverage Forecast performance metrics including forecast accuracy, forecast bias.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline forecasting and planning processes. Identify opportunities for automation and system enhancements to improve forecast accuracy and efficiency.
What we look for:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply chain, Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or Mathematics.
5 years of proven experience in data analytics preferably within Supply chain and logistics.
Proven experience in statistical analysis, data modelling and manipulation and predictive analytics.
Willingness to travel both domestic and internationally (20-30%) to develop firsthand understanding of sites and the wider organizational challenges.
Preferred:
Advance Degree, MS and/or MBA
Proficiency in using statistical and visualization tools such as Python, R, Power BI.
APICS CPIM certification
Proficiency in using supply planning software and advanced analytics tools.
Experience in collaborating with multiple sites and business units to achieve business objectives.
Strong verbal and written communication competencies
Familiarity with the building technologies market.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $85,000-117,000(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
