JOB PURPOSE:

We are looking for a commercially driven and analytically strong CMI Analyst to join our team. This role plays a critical part in shaping category and brand performance understanding across Foods Europe by connecting external market data with internal business performance.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with business acumen, is comfortable working with multiple data sources, and can translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.

This is a role covering category performance analysis (50%), social & media insights (30%), and product innovation support (20%).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Market Performance & Strategic Insights (50%)

  • Lead the development of external category performance updates

  • Analyze and interpret data from sources such as Nielsen and other syndicated datasets

  • Triangulate multiple data inputs to build a holistic view of category and brand performance

  • Identify performance drivers, risks, and opportunities across markets (country & EU level)

  • Conduct deep-dive diagnostics and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations

  • Build compelling storylines and presentations tailored to senior stakeholders • Act as a thought partner to business teams, challenging assumptions with data driven insights

2. Social & Media Insights (30%)

  • Leverage a wide range of data sources including social listening, search data, and media analytics

  • Set up and guide teams to use internal tools and dashboards to monitor trends and performance

  • Identify emerging consumer, cultural, and category trends to inform brand strategy

  • Translate digital and media signals into business-relevant insights and opportunities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate insights into marketing and communication strategies

3. Product Innovation & CMI Support (20%)

  • Support product innovation projects through data analysis and insight generation

  • Conduct and analyse:

o Concept testing

o Proposition testing

o Communication testing

o Pack design testing

  • Synthesize results into clear recommendations for cross-functional teams

  • Present findings in a simple, impactful way to support decision-making

  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret complex datasets

  • Solid business and financial acumen

  • Ability to connect internal performance with external market dynamics Experience with data triangulation across multiple sources

  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills

  • Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Familiarity with digital analytics (social listening, search, media data)

  • Comfortable using analytical tools and dashboards (e.g., Excel, Power BI, etc.)

  • Ability to work with both quantitative and qualitative data

Ways of Working

Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in:

o Consumer & Market Insights (CMI), Analytics, or Business Intelligence

o Consulting, FMCG, or data/insights-driven environments

  • Proven experience working with market data (e.g., Nielsen, Kantar, IRI) Experience in performance analysis and insight generation

  • Exposure to digital, media, or social analytics is a strong plus

  • Experience supporting innovation or product testing projects is advantageous
