The Project Leader, Private Label position will be responsible for the technical execution and project pipeline development of the US/Canada Private Label channel. This role will collaborate directly with retailers, clubs, and mass merchandisers, as well as private label manufacturers, to drive penetration and growth of Ingredion’s solutions portfolio. Acting as a trusted technical partner, the Project Leader will champion innovation within the Private Label space, translating emerging trends and customer needs into actionable, commercially viable product solutions.

The role reports to the Sr. Manager, Technical Service, Channels & Canada

What you will do: 

  • Lead technical execution and support roadmap development for target private label accounts, aligning with strategic business goals. Identify and pursue new business opportunities by translating customer needs into innovative, value-creating solutions.
  • Engage customers via both in-person and virtual presentations, including training, solution demos, and capability reviews, to articulate the value proposition of Ingredion solutions to generate sales opportunities & pipeline.
  • Evaluate customer products to identify new application, replacement, and upgrade opportunities for Ingredion’s solutions to increase penetration.
  • Develop and deliver innovative ingredient solutions through hands-on formulation, prototype development and solution demonstrations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Technical Service, and Marketing teams to support customer initiatives and ensure appropriate project resourcing.
  • Support Ingredion participation in private label customer and industry events, including the PLMA show, to build a robust network and customer base.
     

What you will bring: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, or related fields with solid experience in Food and Beverage R&D, Product Design, and Process Design and Improvement.
  • Understanding of common food processes, food ingredient functionality and ingredient interactions including sweeteners, texturizers, stabilizers, flavors and functional nutritional ingredients. Specific bakery, dairy, or beverage category experience a plus.
  • Ability to formulate products across a diverse range of food and beverage categories with a focus on commercial feasibility and scalability.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Strong project management skills. Ability to effectively communicate and interact across functions and to influence key stakeholders to gain alignment and drive delivery of project objectives.
  • Preferred previous experience in a technical service role or similar with familiarity with customer account support and management.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% for customer visits, trials, and industry events.

Pay Range:

$102,100.00-$136,166.67 Annual

This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).

Incentive Compensation:

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
