About the team
The Food Sales team in Jordan is focused on driving strategic partnerships and business growth across the Careem Food vertical. We work closely with local restaurants, merchant partners, and internal cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and outstanding customer experiences. The team is passionate, data-driven, and highly collaborative, playing a vital role in achieving Careem's ambitious goals for the region.
About the role
As a Food Sales Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and closing impactful partnerships with restaurant partners in Jordan. You will lead a small team of sales executives, guiding them to exceed acquisition targets and contribute to the broader commercial strategy. This is a high-impact, field-facing role requiring strong business acumen, a deep understanding of the local market, and the ability to develop win-win propositions for partners.
What you'll do
  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle with restaurant partners in Jordan, from prospecting and pitching to closing and onboarding
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales executives to meet performance KPIs
  • Develop market intelligence to identify gaps and opportunities across Amman's food and beverage landscape
  • Collaborate with Account Management, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure partner success post-acquisition
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with strategic partners and key stakeholders
  • Report on sales performance and pipeline health using CRM tools and dashboards
What you'll need
  • 5–7 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in F&B, tech, or e-commerce sectors
  • At least 3-4 years of people management experience
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Deep understanding of the local F&B / delivery landscape in Amman East/West and broader Jordan, with a strong network in the industry considered a plus
  • Proven ability to close deals and drive commercial success in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent relationship-building capabilities with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and basic data analysis tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus
