Job Description Scope of Position: The Department of Nutrition & Dietetics administers quality nutritional care and food service operations for all the patients, personnel, and visitors in the OSU hospitals in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The Department coordinates activities to enhance patient and staff satisfaction. Position Summary: This position is responsible for setting up workstation(s), preparing and portioning salads, sandwiches, fruit and dessert for patient and cafeteria meals. Portions and assembles food for trays, and correctly stores all foods. Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment and demonstrates the "Intensive Caring" philosophy in interactions with patients, visitors and staff. Position may work in Central Kitchen, Season?s Cafe Deli, or Patient Hospitality Centers. Minimum Education Required Per Classified Civil Svc Specs Required Qualifications Per CCS Class Specs: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and to read and write simple sentences; or equivalent; 100 hours training in use of kitchen equipment and food production practices (or 1 month experience). Must pass physical exam. Must have basic computer skills and previous food service experience desired.
