Summary
Job Description:
The Food Distribution Technician performs a variety of food service functions supporting patient, cafeteria, and catering services. Responsibilities include food preparation, meal service, sanitation, equipment use, and maintaining compliance with food safety standards and organizational policies.
Prepare and serve food according to standardized recipes and portion guidelines
Ensure food quality, temperature control, and presentation standards are met
Transport food carts and equipment safely throughout the facility
Maintain proper food storage, labeling, dating, and rotation
Follow HACCP guidelines and infection control procedures
Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, equipment, and storage spaces
Operate food service equipment safely and report malfunctions
Maintain inventory and assist with ordering supplies
Provide courteous customer service and address concerns professionally
Participate in safety training and departmental meetings
Perform additional duties as assigned
Less than high school education required
No experience required
High School/GED preferred
Food Handler Card or ServSafe certification preferred
Ability to follow safety, sanitation, and food handling guidelines
