About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Food and Environmental Services Assistant to join our Patient Food and Environmental Services team at St Vincent’s Private Community Hospital Griffith (SVPCHG). This is a permanent part time role 20 hours a fortnight.

Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Serving Meals and Beverages to patients.
  • Following meal reports and work schedules.
  • Tray assembly according to meal tickets.
  • Cleaning and Washing up responsibilities
  • Housekeeping to meet the needs of patients in both Theatre/ Ward and clients in a professional and timely manner

The skills required are:

  • Experience working within a hospital food services setting or hospitality environment.
  • Ability to work within a team or unsupervised.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Commitment to continued professional development.
  • Punctuality and flexibility to cover shifts over 7 days.
  • Able to follow instructions and food safety principles.

  • Onsite training facility, The Murrumbidgee Clinical Teaching and Learning Centre and onsite consulting suites that support the provision of services for our 30 Visiting Medical specialists
