Platform Management sits within Front Office Operations and partners closely with Technology, Operations, Risk, and Business stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and compliant platform capabilities. The team focuses on translating business needs into durable solutions that improve efficiency, transparency, and control across investment and enterprise workflows. We emphasize practical delivery, governance, and long-term operational ownership rather than experimentation alone. Your Role:
The FOO Manager for Innovation and AI is responsible for designing and delivering applied AI and automation solutions that enhance operational performance across enterprise and investment platforms. This role bridges business, operations, and technology to translate complex problems into scalable, production-ready solutions with measurable outcomes. The position emphasizes responsible AI practices, working with an established governance ecosystem but still capable of creating a governance process from the ground up and deploy into regulated environments. You will provide leadership and direction while acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the organization.
You Will Be Responsible For:
Designing and delivering applied AI and automation solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, scalability, or decision-making
Partnering with technology and platform teams to deploy AI solutions into production environments
Navigate complex conversations and architectural design discussions with Information Security, Cloud Engineering, Legal & Compliance, Enterprise Architecture, and business partners to Ensuring AI solutions are auditable, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards
Contributing to model deployment, monitoring (performance, drift, cost, latency), and operational resilience
Applying responsible AI principles including transparency, human-in-the-loop controls, and bias awareness
Aligning AI initiatives with internal policies, compliance expectations, and regulatory considerations
Define and track key performance metrics to evaluate AI solutions, providing data-driven recommendations for production readiness.
Communicating AI concepts, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to non-technical stakeholders
The Experience You Bring:
Strong programming experience in Python; SQL strongly preferred
Hands-on experience delivering generative AI solutions (e.g., LLMs, RAG, prompt strategies)
Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals, data preparation, LLM’s logging of chain of reasoning to understand LLM logic at any given time, and model evaluation
Familiar with modern orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, AWS Strands Agents, or the Google Gen AI SDK to build agents that plan and execute multi-step tasks.
Experience deploying AI or advanced analytics solutions beyond proof-of-concept
Familiarity with production environments, including cloud platforms and APIs
Experience operating in regulated or risk-sensitive industries strongly preferred
Ability to align technical solutions to operational goals and measurable o utcomes
Strong communication and stakeholder partnership skills
Hands-on experience with agentic frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, Strands Agents) and cloud-native AI services like Amazon Bedrock a PLUS.

The salary range for this position in Downers Grove is $165,000 - $185,000. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience and location
