Overview of the Digital Infrastructure Team

The EMEA Digital Infrastructure team at Moelis & Company, led by Managing Director Will Peters, provides strategic and financial advisory services to clients across the rapidly evolving digital infrastructure ecosystem. The team advises a broad range of clients, including data centre operators, fibre network providers, tower companies, related technology platforms and financial sponsors invested in the sector.

Combining deep sector expertise with a global perspective, the team supports clients navigating transformational change through tailored advice across M&A, capital raising, and restructuring situations, helping clients execute strategic priorities and create long-term value in an ever-changing environment.

Position Description:

We are seeking an Associate to join our EMEA Digital Infrastructure Investment Banking team. This individual will play a key role in the execution of M&A and capital-raising transactions, supporting all aspects of deal processes and client coverage efforts. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, a keen interest in digital infrastructure, and the ability to operate effectively in an innovative and team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed quantitative and qualitative financial analysis, including valuation, comparable company, and transaction analyses.
  • Build and maintain complex financial and operating models to support transaction evaluation and client decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of marketing materials, pitch books, offering memoranda, and other client deliverables.
  • Conduct sector and company research to identify trends, strategic themes, and emerging investment opportunities across the digital infrastructure landscape.
  • Support senior team members in transaction execution, including due diligence, process management, and coordination with clients and other advisors.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through responsiveness, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of client objectives.
  • Contribute to business development efforts through industry analysis, idea generation, and preparation of client-ready materials.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong analytical, modelling, and presentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of accounting, corporate finance, and valuation principles.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in investment banking (corporate finance/M&A), private equity, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in digital infrastructure, telecom, or technology-related sectors is highly desirable.
  • Proven client-centric mindset, with a focus on building trusted relationships and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Proven team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
