The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is seeking a Flight Test Quality Manager to join our team in Seattle, WA. The selected candidate will be responsible for the management of non-exempt (IAM751) hourly Flight Test Quality inspectors supporting both commercial and military derivative programs.
This position is based in Seattle but may also require working at other Puget Sound sites.
This position may require working first shift, Sunday through Thursday and possible overtime.
Domestic and international travel may be required based on business needs.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage employees who evaluate and ensure that products, services and processes comply with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures and government regulations
Develop and execute business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve performance
Provide education and coaching on the Quality System
May make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies
Acquire and manage resources and leads process improvements
Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports
Manage, develop and motivate employees
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
Have an FAA Airframe and Power Plant License or an FAA Repairman’s certificate
5+ years of experience with flight line operations
5+ years of experience with Boeing single body and wide body aircraft models
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally on short notice
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience in a field quality inspector position
Material Review Board Designee
Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) or the ability to obtain post-hire
5+ years of experience with Boeing maintenance execution systems (CMES, MESci, Velocity)
3+ years of experience working in a Flight Test environment
2+ years of experience as a manager or Quality Inspector supporting field operations.
Strong familiarity with FAA CFAR Title 14 parts 91 and 145.
Strong familiarity with FAA Coordinator duties (conformities and aircraft ticketing).

Summary Pay Range for Manager Level (Level K): $119,850 – $162,150
