Flight Test Engineer/Planner

Technology Service Corporation is seeking a Flight Test Engineer/ Planner to support flight and ground test activities for aircraft development, modification, and sustainment programs. The Test Planner will work closely with engineering, flight operations, maintenance, and program management teams to translate test objectives into executable test plans and procedures.

This role plays a key part in ensuring test events are properly planned, coordinated, and executed in compliance with safety, regulatory, and program requirements. The Test Planner serves as an integration point across multiple stakeholders to ensure test readiness and successful completion of program milestones. This role can be performed on a remote basis with the ability to travel as needed up to 10%.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of flight and ground test plans and schedules in support of aircraft development and modification efforts
  • Coordinate test activities with test teams, engineers, aircrew, maintenance personnel, and program management
  • Define test objectives, required conditions, instrumentation needs, and success criteria for test events
  • Ensure compliance with ground and flight safety requirements, regulatory standards, and program procedures
  • Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test cards, procedures, and test reports
  • Track test progress, discrepancies, and corrective actions to support program execution
  • Support risk assessments, safety reviews, and test readiness reviews
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure test readiness and operational coordination
  • Analyze scheduling impacts and work with the test team to align activities with program milestones and timelines

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aviation, Aerospace, or a related technical discipline and 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
  • Experience supporting aircraft development, flight test programs, aviation operations, or test scheduling
  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems and performance
  • Familiarity with military airworthiness regulations and safety requirements
  • Excellent organizational, coordination, and communication skills
  • Experience using project planning or scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting flight test programs or test & evaluation activities
  • Background in military aviation, defense programs, or government test organizations
  • Experience supporting flight test planning, test readiness reviews, or test documentation development
