What is the compensation?

$16.00 to $19.00 per hour (depending on qualifications). Payment will be made by direct deposit.

What are the main duties?

  • Aid in maintaining records, reports, work orders, and documentation relating to vehicle servicing.

  • Order, receive, catalog, organize and maintain stock items in an orderly and logical manner, including equipment, tools, parts and materials.

  • Pick-up automotive parts from vendor locations.

  • Perform other related work as required.

What requirements do I need to apply?

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

  • A basic understanding of vehicle maintenance, parts and components, as well as a general aptitude for organization.

  • A valid, current Driver License. (Applicant may be disqualified on the basis of an unacceptable driving record as reflected by the State Department of Motor Vehicles.)

  • Preference will be given to a college undergraduate studying supply chain management, automotive technology, operations and logistics management, or a similar course of study.

What is the schedule?

Approximately 20 to 25 hours per week, Monday - Thursday during normal business hours, with additional hours as needed for events. Flexible schedule available. Schedule may vary and will be discussed at time of interview.

What are the physical and environmental factors?

Regularly walk, stand, reach, or stoop; requires lifting up to 70 lbs.; ascend or descend ladders, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and similar equipment; use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity; may include exposure to stressful situations. Selected applicant will be trained to safely operate a forklift.

What is the selection process?

Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted, with the first screening being held on May 13, 2026 . Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration.

If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
