Position Overview:
Join Finning and play a critical role in introducing and maintaining Caterpillar Ultra Class Mining Trucks in the Oilsands region. This position offers:
• A role overseeing all performance aspects of Caterpillar Ultra Class rental fleets at customer sites.

As a Fleet Manager, you will be accountable for the successful delivery, introduction, and ongoing performance of Caterpillar Ultra Class Mining Trucks. If you are highly organized, a strong communicator, and passionate about driving operational excellence, this is the role for you!
Job Description:
- Develop and manage the successful delivery and introduction of Caterpillar Ultra Class Mining Trucks into the Oilsands region.
- Oversee and coordinate truck delivery, ensuring maintenance infrastructure is in place for seamless operations.
- Lead the development and sustainment of maintenance strategies in partnership with Caterpillar, Finning, and customer teams.
- Drive fleet performance metrics such as physical availability, tons per hour/day, and cost per ton.
- Work closely with technical teams to resolve product issues quickly and effectively.
- Maintain strong relationships and communicate performance metrics across all levels of Finning, Caterpillar, and customer organizations.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Coordinate delivery of new Caterpillar Ultra Class Trucks to customer sites.
- Monitor and report on fleet performance metrics.
- Collaborate with site service teams and technical resources to address product issues.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to optimize fleet performance.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders and manage documentation for new product introductions.
Requirements:
- HET Red Seal Ticket or related post-secondary education is an asset.
- 10+ years of mining industry experience.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven leadership and customer focus.
- Technical background with knowledge of Caterpillar 797 Haul Trucks.
- Experience in fleet management and maintenance strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- This position is based out of our Fort Hills field office location.
- Only accepting applicants local to Fort McMurray at this time.
- Permanent, full-time role.
- Monday – Friday, 5x2 schedule.
