The Fleet Manager ensures that Braun Intertec’s fleet of light duty vehicles, and medium and heavy-duty trucks and trailers are in compliance with federal and state safety regulations as well as Braun Intertec policies and practices. This position supports the Operations team and works closely with our fleet management company, and with personnel in various departments including Finance, Human Resources, Legal, and Safety. This position is responsible to maintain and control the fleet operating costs while promoting compliance and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Operational
- Oversee the management, procurement, transfer, and disposal of company vehicles to maintain an optimal replacement cycle including coordinating insurance repairs, working with insurance company on claims process, and working with operations to assess annual fleet budget.
- Registering, licensing, distributing insurance cards, maintaining toll requirements for all vehicles to ensure fleet operation in compliance with local and state rules and regulations.
- Developing strategies for greater fuel efficiency and analyze data to increase business operational efficiency.
- Maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection, monitor preventative maintenance programs and OEM incentive programs for fleet purchases.
- Ensuring strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules.
- Train multiple operations personnel throughout the United States on the use of their fleet management and telematics software, while monitoring daily telematics and maintenance alerts and keeping operations, safety, legal and human resources abreast of trends and events as required.
- Oversee the leasing company relationship.
- Oversee all fleet management factory partners to ensure best price, rebates, delivery times, etc.
- Safety and Compliance
- Set and maintain clear expectations for all roles involved in the operation and oversite of company vehicles.
- Create Fleet related Standard Operating Procedures for all fleet processes. Develop standard operating procedures for telematics driver data and follow up.
- Ensure an effective telematic system is in place; set clear expectations for local oversight, ensure hardware and software issues are addressed in a timely fashion, and provide training/coaching to all system users (drivers and local oversight).
- Develop and lead, in conjunction with Operational Leadership, Safety, Legal and Human Resources the necessary corrective action to trends in and causes of Vehicle Incidents.
- Recommend and implement improvements to reduce risk of fleet program.
- Ensure compliance with all aspects of with U.S. Department of Transport laws and regulations, IFTA and HVUT reporting requirements and driver qualification, documentation, and reporting requirements.
- Manage CDL training program.
- Implement and oversee compliance with internal Vehicle audit program.

Minimum Experience:
- 5+ years of fleet operations experience

Compensation Range:
$88,000.00 - $131,000.00
