Responsibilities
Drive a forklift to bring materials back and forth from the blender area.
Verify and assure accurate counts of raw materials needed to produce a blended product.
Addition of raw materials to the blender following the manufacturing sequence on the formula.
Discharging blended product from the blender using the prescribed screen size.
Sampling of blended product.
Packaging of product in the prescribed package weight.
Filling out of daily production report to document production, quality, and performance.
Cleaning and sanitizing of the blender, sifter, and all support equipment.
Sanitation of work station and surrounding areas.
Disposal of trash and garbage dumpsters.
Adherence to all department procedures and GMP's.
Ability to maintain all performance standards.
Skills and Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
Manufacturing experience preferred
Ability to:
Read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Write simple correspondence.
Communicate with individuals and small groups
Read, write and speak English.
Mathematical Skills to include the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Must be able to complete Annual Operator Training
Physical Demands /Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 80 pounds. Must have ability to work and climb up to 60ft. above ground.
Employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions. The noise level is moderate. Hearing protection is required in designated areas.
The employee is required to wear a respirator after a Doctor’s approval and successfully passing the fit and pulmonary test.
Starting Salary : $18.00/hr
The actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors. This role will remain open until filled.
