Fixed Asset Analyst
 

Job Summary
General Motors de Mexico is seeking a highly detail-oriented Fixed Asset Analyst to manage and analyze the company's fixed assets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our financial statements and supporting strategic decision-making.

Job Responsibilities

* Maintain and update fixed asset records, including acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation calculations.
* Perform periodic physical inventory counts of fixed assets and reconcile discrepancies.
* Prepare and analyze fixed asset schedules, reports, and reconciliations for financial reporting purposes.
* Collaborate with various departments to ensure proper capitalization and classification of fixed assets.
* Assist in the preparation of financial statements by providing accurate and timely fixed assets, scrap revenue, consumption cost information.
* Support internal and external audits related to fixed assets, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in fixed asset, scrap revenue, consumption cost information management.
* Utilize financial software and tools to extract data, generate reports, and perform analysis.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles and relevant tax regulations concerning fixed assets and accounting.
* Contribute to special projects and ad-hoc analysis as required by management.

Job Qualifications

*Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, a related field or  relevant experience.
* Proven experience as a Fixed Asset Analyst or in a similar accounting role.
*Detail-Oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and precision in data management.
*Strong Financial Statement Acumen with a solid understanding of accounting principles and their application to fixed assets.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (advanced skills required for data analysis and reporting).
* Experience with Microsoft PowerBI for data visualization and reporting is highly desirable.
* Working knowledge of Oracle Hyperion Enterprise for financial planning and consolidation _(desirable)
* Familiarity with SAP system for fixed asset module management.(desirable)
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Spanish.
