NVIDIA is looking for a talented Firmware Engineer to join the NVLink Pre-Silicon development team in Tel-Aviv / Ra'anana. This is a rare opportunity to work at the earliest stages of hardware development - writing and developing firmware in early stages when ASIC is being developed, directly shaping how NVIDIA's next-generation NVLink technology comes to life.
You will work hands-on with simulation environments, collaborating closely with chip designers, architects, and fellow firmware engineers across multiple domains. Alongside core development, you will be expected to contribute ideas and drive improvements to both our pre-silicon processes and our firmware approaches - innovation is part of the job, not a side activity. We drive the data growth of the world’s biggest companies. With dedicated engineers around the globe, the work environment is dynamic, exciting, and fast-paced. Are you ready for the challenge?
What you will be doing:
Design & Develop firmware as part of core of NVLink Switches & GPU firmware.
Drive features execution end-to-end, including integrations, co-simulations and co-emulation in pre and in pre & post-silicon.
Collaborate with architecture and different software design teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Gain a deep understanding of system debugging, networking technology, and stacks, as well as the HW/FW/SW relationship.
Collaborate with other NVIDIA R&D teams around the globe.
Innovate! Bring NVIDIA’s FW Switching & GPU products to shine on first days at customer’s view.
What we need to see:
B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
Proficient knowledge of C.
Excellent understanding of embedded SW and real-time programming.
Strong analytical, creative, debugging and problem-solving skills.
Strong programming skills in Python.
An excellent teammate with good communication skills.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Knowledge of network protocols.
Any exposure to pre-silicon environments - even academic or internship experience with simulation, emulation, or virtual platforms
Motivation to learn and constantly improve processes and tools.
Demonstrated curiosity and initiative: side projects, open-source contributions, or process improvements you drove on your own
Comfortable with multitasking in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and changing requirements and background in Linux internals.
