We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Firmware Developer Engineering Intern to join our firmware development team. As a Memory Reference Code Developer, you will work as part of a team to establish and maintain development practices related to the creation of firmware that initializes the memory sub-system.

The position involves mastering the low level hardware details related to the signals between the memory and the memory PHY and mastering software development practices and applying them to continuously improve the code.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • performing complex product design, systems analysis and programming activities on applications software which may require some research.
  • participating in product design meetings Implementation and maintenance of single product modules/sub-systems Preparing technical documentation of product sub-systems.
  • perform complex bug correction, testing and beta support for assigned products.
  • research problems discovered during QA or product support and developing solutions to the problems.
  • create code, unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits with high quality deliverables
  • support the development of memory reference code and related documentation for Intel silicon products such as next generation processors.
  • authoring Memory Reference Code specifications,
  • developing / supporting platform BIOS for Intel's CPUs.
  • work closely with Intel silicon design teams
  • be responsible for all DDRIO firmware related issues during the planning, development, and validation stages of the program.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's in Electronics, Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (at least 1 year remaining as an active student).
  • 6+ months of experience with software development skills: knowledge in C and Python (scripting/programming).
  • 6+ months of experience in the industry of software/firmware engineering processes, principles and product life cycles.

  • Advanced English level.

Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico (this role is not eligible for visa or immigration sponsorship).


Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

  • Knowledge of AI GitHub and VS Code.
  • Competency with PC architecture or system Basic Input Output System (BIOS).
  • Knowledge of Computer Architecture.
  • Knowledge on DDR memory. technology such as UDIMM, RDIMM, etc.
  • Continuous integration knowledge (Jenkins).
