Job Summary: This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Major Duties:

• You will provide advanced life support.
• You will administer medications and solutions orally or intravenously under the direction of standing orders or of an off-site physician.
• You will interpret an electrocardiogram (EKG) for a patient with an unstable heartbeat to determine future medical treatment.
• You will provide invasive airway procedures (e.g., needle or surgical cricothyrotomy, pleural decompression, endotracheal intubation, nasal intubation).
• You will enter confined spaces to perform patient care, rescue and recovery.
• You will extract a trapped patient to prevent further harm during removal.
• You will maintain proficiency in search and rescue techniques (e.g., auto extraction, high or low angle rescue, confined space rescue, building collapse).

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing pre-hospital emergency medical services care at the paramedic level to injured and/or ill patients; 2) Maintaining appropriate reports, forms and documents utilizing medical charting and medical terminology; and 3) Driving and operating an ambulance. NOTE: *** Entry-level parenthetical medical firefighters (Paramedic) levels must successfully complete any and all required training, to include being DoD certified at the Firefighter I and II levels and Airport Firefighter level, if applicable within a maximum of 24 months.
