Salary Range: $42679 - $55486 Per Year

Job Summary: You will serve as a FIREFIGHTER (BLS/HAZMAT TECHNICIAN) in the Fire and Emergency Services of NAVSUPPACT BAHRAIN Bahrain.

Major Duties:

  • You will participate in regular training and exercises as required.
  • You will perform effective pre-fire planning by identifying any new or existing hazards that may require modification of the prevention/protection program or type of response to a fire.
  • You will be operating the engines that pump and distribute water or foam, driving the fire engines that pump and distribute water or foam, driving the fire engines and communicating while engaged in fire suppression operations.
  • You will perform one or more of the listed rescue functions; rope, surface water, vehicle and machinery, confined space, structural collapse, trench, subterranean, dive, or wilderness.
  • You will perform emergency protocols and procedures by providing basic life support (BLS) established by the system medical director

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must include: 1. Operating a wide variety of firefighting equipment and performing rescue missions to meet established standards; AND 2. Controlling or extinguishing fires as a member of a fire department to protect lives and property; AND 3. Driving and operating firefighting vehicles to ensure rapid and safe emergency response; AND; 4. Performing non-invasive emergency medical procedures to maintain practice and protocols of a fire department. This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for this position.
