The Superintendent is responsible for supporting the oversight of performance of the field staff for a variety of projects, which can involve either fire sprinkler, fire alarm, portables, KEC, or any other departments in the organization. They coordinate the work of different departments involved in a project. Their oversight will ensure that our field employees are taken care of, and our clients’ needs are met.Job Description Summary:
The Superintendent is responsible for supporting the oversight of performance of the field staff for a variety of projects, which can involve either fire sprinkler, fire alarm, portables, KEC, or any other departments in the organization. They coordinate the work of different departments involved in a project. Their oversight will ensure that our field employees are taken care of, and our clients’ needs are met.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Liaising with project management teams to ensure that the project design is accurate before work commences.
Ordering and scheduling the delivery of all equipment needed for the project
Acting as the main point of communication between the main field and the office
Managing the work schedules and timecards for all field staff
Providing leadership to on-site staff, sub-contractors, and other parties
Investigating and resolving customer complaints
Ensuring that safety policies are strictly adhered to
Reviewing project progress to ensure that deadlines are met
Report results of work completed in an accurate and timely manner
Protect and maintain company equipment
Inspect and maintain the truck and all related equipment, putting in repair requests as necessary to maintain safe operation
Operate warehouse equipment, including vehicles, in a way that facilitates the loading and unloading of the truck while observing all safety regulations and manufacturer’s safety instructions for that equipment
Work in a safe manner as outlined by company safety procedures including driver safety and personal protective equipment.
Respond to emergency service calls
Maintain a clean and safe workspace
Perform other duties assigned by management
Education/Qualification:
5+ years of experience within the fire industry
Other Duties:
Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy
Performs other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects
The work also requires the following physical abilities in order to perform the essential job functions: balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity.
