The Fire Sprinkler Foreman performs tasks at various job sites. The role requires a skilled tradesperson responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems in commercial and industrial buildings. The Fire Sprinkler Foreman requires advanced knowledge of fire protection codes and standards, local AHJ requirements, and safety protocols to ensure that sprinkler systems are operational and meet all regulatory requirements. The Foreman will oversee work performed by other professionals to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and inspect fire sprinkler systems in a variety of environments.
Provides advanced level technical assistance for team members and customers as needed.
Teaches trade skills to advancing Apprentices, Journeymen, and Foremen. Champions safety and skill development of all field personnel.
Conducts work in strict accordance with our Safety Policy and Procedures and communicates those policies and procedures to the team.
Ensures the team adheres to safety rules/regulations and enforces accountability on all for excellent safety practices and culture.
Continually demonstrates proper procedures and methods of the trade skill.
Proactively plans work to minimize schedule impacts and cost overruns.
Develops effective work plans for complex projects with ease and with minimum oversight/instruction from Superintendent.
Effectively communicates and maintains positive and cooperative working relationships with Superintendent, team members, project managers, senior management, and customer representatives.
Provides recommendations to the Superintendent regarding necessary equipment, safety issues, and personnel needs.
Maintains strong working knowledge and training on current standards.
Sets the example for others regarding professional appearance and demonstrating excellent customer service.
Experience with fire pumps as well as wet, dry, deluge, and pre-action sprinkler systems
Experience working with subcontractors and other trades.
Advanced knowledge and ability to make appropriate field adjustments.
Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary as well as the ability to travel overnight regularly.
Performs other job duties and responsibilities as required.
Education/Qualification:
High school diploma or GED.
Technical program degree or certificate, or college degree preferred.
NICET III and IV Fire Sprinkler certifications preferred.
Five (5) or more years of fire sprinkler construction or service delivery experience in commercial settings.
Advanced working knowledge of NFPA 13 and NFPA 25 and has ability to identify issues that need further discussion or possible violations.
Proven experience in effective leadership of individuals or teams
Skilled operation of sprinkler trade equipment including, but not limited to, impact wrenches, band saws, measuring devices, fitting take-outs, manual lifting devices, grooving machines, threading machines, and powered industrial lifting devices.
Demonstrates exceptional work ethic and is a self-starter with the ability to use independent judgement.
Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Experience working against deadlines and a strong track record of completing projects on time.
Comfort and proficiency with computer systems, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Desires a long-term career, and demonstrates commitment to continuous improvement.
Must possess and retain a valid driver’s license and be able to drive short and long distances for work.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform physical labor in safety sensitive environments.
Ability to wear PPE such as ear plugs, safety glasses, gloves, steel toe shoes, and/or fall protection for long periods of time.
Ability to stand and walk on uneven surfaces in construction and/or heavy industrial sites, climb ladders or/and stairs, and work at heights for long periods of time.
Ability to bend, stoop, and/or squat frequently and for long periods of time.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 40-60lbs frequently.
Ability to repetitively grasp, push, pull, and manipulate fine objects with both hands.
Ability to reach and perform work above shoulder level frequently and for long periods of time.
Ability to withstand mild to moderate exposure to moving machinery, marked changes in temperature or humidity, and dust, fumes, and gases.
Pay Rate:
$38.00 - $45.00 per hour DOE.
