What you will do
Proficient at maintaining, repairing, installing, and programming conventional and addressable fire alarm, security, nurse call, intercom, and other related building systems products.
How you will do it
Will use test equipment including oscilloscopes, multi-meters, digital analyzers, battery analyzers, frequency meters, decibel meters and communication devices.
Will perform physical labor including carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds.
Will work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing a ladder, scaffolding, working within ducts, crawl spaces above ceilings, etc.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics and operation/product manuals.
Perform inspections and installation activities on electronic fire systems.
Overtime/Overnight stay may be required during busy project schedules.
What we look for
Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.
One (1) or more years of experience in Fire Alarm or Integrated Security Systems maintenance.
Able to obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local codes.
Electrical installation experience.
Knowledgeable and experienced with using test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multi-meters, digital analyzers, battery analyzers, frequency meters, decibel meters and communication devices.
Willing and able to work overtime and/or overnight if/when needed (may be required during busy project schedules).
Able and willing to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
Able and willing to perform physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 pounds.
Able and willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and nights, to meet customer requirements.
Able and willing to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent customer interaction skills.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Experience and knowledge troubleshooting and making repairs, unaided by management.
Self-starter that can work with minimum supervision.
Pass criminal background check and drug test.
Preferred
2 or more years of experience in the Fire Alarm or Integrated Security Systems maintenance (plus)
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $17.00- $20.00
(Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience,
knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market
