Brief Overview of Position:
The Texas Capital Fintech business is a growing platform covering high growth disruptors ranging from next-gen banking and lending, to payments and embedded financial services, and the underlying financial infrastructure. Clients and prospects in scope include public companies with mature capital market needs, late-stage companies evaluating their strategic paths forward and early-stage startups that are building their platforms.
Reporting within the Financial Industries Group (FIG), this relationship-driven role will partner across the bank and be accountable for expanding the Fintech coverage efforts and originating new business across our lending, investment banking, and treasury platforms. Types of products pertinent to Fintech include, but are not limited to: asset-based warehouse and securitization, corporate lending, debt and equity capital markets execution, Treasury and payments solutioning, risk management (hedging), and strategic advisory.
The ideal candidate will bring existing industry relationships and a diverse background to advise and sell across our full-service platform.
Location for the role would need to reside in an existing Texas Capital office location, specifically: Dallas, Austin, New York, Chicago, or Los Angeles.
Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management: Manage a portfolio of high growth Fintechs, serving as the primary contact for C-suite executives, managing principals and decision makers.
Business Development: Lead a calling effort focused on originating new relationships and contributing to the group’s lending, deposits and fee goals.
Tailored Solutions: Develop customized solutions based on client needs, leveraging industry knowledge and market insights.
Product Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to cross-sell solutions that drive multi-product relationships versus transactions.
Risk and Credit Oversight: Work closely with credit teams and other internal stakeholders to structure, underwrite, and monitor transactions.
Mentorship: Mentor analysts and associates, providing guidance on technical skills, client management, and professional growth.
Deal Execution: Lead client pitches, negotiations, and presentations to secure new business and expand relationships.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, risk frameworks, and internal policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics or related field/experience; advanced degree or certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry and product experience
Strong understanding of the fintech industry, capital markets, credit and lending principles, financial analysis, modeling and risk management
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex financial data with an understanding of transaction structures and legal documentation
Results-oriented with demonstrated business origination/sales experience, well-developed business connections, and strong track record of delivering against business unit and company goals
FINRA 63 and 79 preferred, or required within 120 days
