FinOps Engineering Intern

Why This Role Matters:

We are seeking a motivated intern to support our FinOps efforts as part of the Technology Architecture Services team.  The intern will assist in collecting, analyzing, and visualizing cloud cost and usage data to identify optimization opportunities and improve financial transparency.  This role offers hands-on experience with FinOps principles, data analysis tools, and native cloud-cost management tools in AWS, Azure, and GCP.  In addition to analyzing cloud costs, this role will also help bridge the gap between technology and business outcomes by assisting in value tracking and ROI analysis on technology investments. The internship will run from May 18 to August 7, 2026.

How You’ll Contribute:

  • Analyze cloud cost and usage data.

  • Identify FinOps optimization opportunities.

  • Support data visualization and reporting.

  • Value tracking and reporting.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Undergraduate students completing their sophomore or junior year pursuing Computer Science or Information Technology Majors.

  • Availability to work full-time hours over the summer.

  • Interest in gaining practical experience in cloud financial management.

  • Willingness to learn quickly and implement real solutions as part of a team.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, etc).

  • Basic understanding of cloud computing is a plus.

  • Experience or exposure to any data analytics tools or any of the cloud platforms is a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and willingness to accept and give feedback
