About the Role

As a Finished Goods Planning Lead within the Supply Chain Management (SCM) organization, you will play a key role in overseeing the supply planning process on a global scale. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with a team of regional supply planners. In addition, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute supply plans that ensure the availability of products to meet customer demands. This critical role involves mitigating supply chain risks and optimizing supply chain performance to achieve the company's strategic objectives.

Your Team

The role will report to the Global Supply Planning Leader and closely align with the Global Material Analytics Manager, Global Allocation Planner. The role is expected to lead a team of 5-7 members with a potential mix of managers and individual contributors depending on the needs of the organization.


What You Will Do

  • Lead role of the Regional Supply Planning teams responsible for coordinating internal and external capacity constraints in order to create the optimized supply plan for the tactical planning horizon as well as close cross-functional collaboration to resolve internal and external constraints and representing the department to the leadership.
  • Operate as a Global Role covering all regions of the Harman Automotive Organization
  • Work with the Regional Supply planning teams to come with scenarios based on regional needs  to be presented for reviews in the weekly/monthly meetings and installing KPI measures and dashboards to track performance of the function.
  • Apply expert knowledge of the automotive industry and supply chains to ensure optimal supply planning and thus satisfaction of demand to ensure inventory & logistics cost optimization and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve Constraint Situations by utilizing strong analytical skills and leveraging experience in supply planning in the automotive industry.
  • Utilize excellent communication and collaboration skills to ensure close collaboration within the

SIOP organization and communication up and down the chain of command and also support supplier discussions when required.

  • Implement the HARMAN competencies of Leadership, Collaboration, Judgement and Results Driven and actively participate in defining and executing the SIOP strategy to ensure end to end Resilience of the supply chain.

What You Need

  • Applicant Shall have 12+ years of experience in the field of Supply chain & operations planning.

Bachelor/Master’s in supply chain related fields and Certifications from accredited bodies such as ASCM preferred.

  • Expert knowledge of automotive industry including supply chain dynamics with at least 8+ years automotive experience
  • Extensive experience in supply planning, production planning, or related roles in a global manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using supply chain planning software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and advanced data analytics tools. With In-depth knowledge of SIOP principles, supply planning methodologies, and inventory management practices.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of leading cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities to manage complex supply chain challenges and foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including consultants/suppliers where applicable.
  • Demonstrated ability for Strategic thinking and ability to adapt to changing business requirements and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What is Nice to Have

  • Experience in Supply Planning with the SAP IBP System.
  • Specific Automotive experience handling large suppliers having been responsible for negotiations etc. at the time of crisis.

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to travel up to 15-20 %, domestic and/or international travel.
  • Be willing to work in an office (hybrid) with close collaboration with manufacturing sites across Harman.
