The job involves:
- Serving food and beverages in both the fine dining restaurant and lounge
- Suggesting dinner courses, appropriate wines and answering questions regarding food preparation
- Taking food and beverage orders from guests, garnishing and decorating dishes and serving meals to guests according to established rules of etiquette
- Routine table maintenance, polishing silverware, glassware and other duties assigned
- Maintaining cleanliness of dining room and service areas
- Providing remarkable service, by recognizing and anticipating guest’s needs
- Working as one team under stressful conditions during high volume business levels
- Thorough knowledge of all activities and promotions occurring at our casino properties
- Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation
The ideal candidate has:
- Minimum 1 year experience in a high-volume fine dining room
- Smart Serve certification
- Knowledge of health and safety standards within a food and beverage environment
- Exceptional knowledge of local and international wines, spirits, beers, and premium food products
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency in using Micros software
