About the Role
As a Solution Delivery Consultant, you’ll collaborate directly with clients to configure and validate Netsmart solutions in both pre-production and production environments. This role blends technical problem-solving, hands-on configuration, and clear communication — helping clients understand, adopt, and succeed with their systems.
You’ll work in a fast-paced setting where no two days look the same. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys learning new technologies, engaging with clients, and navigating evolving project needs.
What You’ll Do
Client Communication & Consulting
• Explain system functionality, project status, and issue resolution through written documentation, presentations, and client meetings.
• Translate technical concepts into clear, accessible guidance for non-technical users.
• Build strong, professional client relationships and support solution adoption through workshops and training sessions.
Solution Implementation & Problem-solving
• Configure, test, and validate system components following established implementation methodologies.
• Troubleshoot configuration, integration, and data-related issues across client environments.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to prevent escalations.
• Identify and clearly communicate risks, issues, and solution status .
• Read various documents and translate them into a solution design.
Analysis, Testing & Training
• Support workflow and process analysis to understand client needs.
• Execute system testing to confirm configurations perform as expected .
• Lead end-user training and share industry standards and delivery practices to drive successful adoption.
• Track and document testing outcomes to validate success thresholds and demonstrate measurable progress.
Continuous Improvement
• Recommend ways to improve internal processes and implementation approaches.
• Create and maintain documentation for standard practices and client-specific configurations .
• Contribute to a collaborative learning culture by actively sharing knowledge, supporting peers, and helping strengthen team capabilities.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
• 1+ year of experience in healthcare IT, systems implementation, technology consulting, or a similar client-facing role
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work in fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environments
• Flexibility and willingness to learn new technologies
Technical Skills
• Experience with system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting
• Understanding of databases and data structures
• Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Familiarity with SQL (basic queries, data review, troubleshooting)
Preferred Skills
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles or Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)
• Experience within Netsmart client industries (clinical, human services, senior living, long-term care, etc.)
• Experience with Netsmart EHR solutions
• General conceptual understanding of AI and automation in solution delivery (workflow optimization, data insights)
Work Environment & Expectations
• Willingness to travel 20% depending on project needs
• Ability to work onsite in Overland Park, KS
• Ability to support clients across multiple time zones, including occasional extended or non-traditional work hours
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, client-facing consulting environment
