Together we can make a great impact for our clients home and abroad, securing their lasting success and financial security.
The Financial Resource Management (FRM) role is strategically critical for the Private Bank, playing a central role in the management and optimization of the Private Bank balance sheet. The position contributes directly to the Bank’s ability to support business growth, ensure balance sheet sustainability, and meet regulatory and strategic objectives.
The FRM function acts as a key interface between Product Heads, Treasury, Risk, Finance and Group-level functions, ensuring strong coordination and effective decision-making across all balance sheet–related topics. The role is designed to strengthen governance, analytical depth and cross‑functional coordination across liquidity, funding, capital and interest rate risk management.
In addition, it supports the development and execution of innovative balance sheet, funding and capital solutions aligned with the Private Bank’s ambitious business plans and evolving regulatory environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the management of IRRBB (Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book), working closely with Risk and Treasury functions to assess impacts on funding strategies, with particular focus on prepayment modelling and behavioural assumptions.
- Contribute to the development and ongoing enhancement of internal liquidity and IRRBB models (centrally defined), providing constructive challenge to ensure robustness, consistency and regulatory compliance.
- Contribute to the optimization of liquidity, capital and RWA efficiency across the Bank, supporting strategic balance sheet objectives.
- Collaborate with Treasury, Finance and FRM counterparts to design, implement and continuously improve internal funding cost and transfer pricing frameworks (FTP), ensuring alignment and transparency across functions.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on funding, capital and balance sheet management, while helping identify new funding and capital solutions based on market best practice.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of interest rate risk in the banking book and a clear understanding of how it interacts with liquidity, funding and balance sheet management, which is essential for the role.
- Solid understanding of funding and capital regulation, including Basel and European regulatory frameworks, with the ability to assess regulatory changes and translate them into practical balance sheet actions.
- Proven experience (5+ years) with internal funding cost and transfer pricing approaches, as well as a good understanding of securitisation structures and covered bonds as funding and capital tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn complex regulatory, modelling and market topics into clear insights and actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Effective communication skills in English, combined with a proactive mindset, curiosity to learn and the confidence to challenge established practices in a constructive way.
