Responsible for preparing and analyzing periodic (quarterly, semi-annual and annual) financial statements in accordance with Investment Company IFRS/GAAP requirements for alternative investment funds (Mutual, Hedge, Private Equity and Real Estate).

What you will be responsible for:

As Financial Reporting, VP, you will:

  • Supervising local Hangzhou including staffing, succession, training and cyclical delivery

  • Managing relationships with onshore management teams and internal divisions of Hangzhou for stronger collaboration

  • Be responsible for development and execution of overall business plans both internally and in partnership with department heads and onshore counterparts

  • Strive to provide better straight through processing service to our clients, always seeking ways to improve and automate current processes

  • Rich experience in operation risks of financial service to identify and remediate any risks from manual errors, procedure expiry, data loss, and external communication

  • Build and Manage team-wide and individual KPI performance appraisal measures to continuously monitor and improve service quality and quantify team’s quality improvement

  • Foster an environment of learning and engaging to grow junior members and address employee concerns and sensitivities.

  • Open-minded to trending changes in regulatory reporting industry, vendor solutions and related-technologies and executive department/hub-level technical initiatives to boost productivity and simplify operations with lower risks

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify automation opportunities by analyzing processes and assessing feasibility for automation

  • Define and executive team strategies to sustain the services and transform the way team operates

  • Understand the benefits and constraints of various transformative technologies and solutions and be able to engage or even lead technical staff to work out automation and innovative projects

What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a professional services environment with solid people management skills of medium to large (20+) organization

  • Accountable for KPI performance, expense, budget control and productivity of the team

  • Strong incident management and post-mortem problem remediation skills to identify root cause of incidents and uproot risks with remedial actions

  • Confident in autonomous decision making. Ability to initiate and drive change (previous track record of managing change)

  • Detailed knowledge of business processes and procedures as well as service and systems within the bank

  • Flexibility to meet close deadlines and client customizations

  • Actively engage team and junior staff to boost employee morale and cohesion  

  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships both internally and external stakeholders

  • Strong organizational skills ideally with project and program management experience and a demonstrated track record of project delivery

  • Meticulous planning ability so as to manage client delivery expectations
