The Financial Operations team manages all customer funds across the region, ensuring that funds are placed appropriately, liquidity is managed correctly, transactions are reconciled and all manual operations to support customer fund flows are executed to an extremely high standard.

As we expand across more countries, we have developed a global offering (“Global Accounts”) for our merchants, allowing them to move funds seamlessly across currencies and leverage any of Xendit’s global services from within one dashboard. This role will be the main owner of all regional fund flows, overseeing float management, liquidity forecasting, day to day operations, cross border and FX operations. The focus will be on the strategy and management of this, while execution will primarily be done by the existing operations team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of Management, Accounting, Finance, or a similar course, with 5-8 years of relevant experience in a start-up/fast paced environment or within the payments, fintech, or financial services spaces
  • At least 3 years working in cross-border and FX operations
  • Able to get your hands dirty, getting into the weeds of the operations to ensure they are done in the most efficient and effective manner
  • Comfortable dealing with large datasets and data analysis
  • Constantly looking to push the bar and increase standards of operations
  • You have a discerning ability to prioritize workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure
  • You are a team player and communicate well with internal and external stakeholders
  • You have great ownership mentality and have proven you can push towards a goal by yourself
  • You pick up new skills quickly using a combination of self-exploration and relationship building
  • You are detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality work
  • Detail oriented, can see patterns in data/information or notice when something is amiss

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in or dealing with banks or large financial institutions
  • Experience with SQL or visualization tools (e.g. Looker)
  • Experience in managing a Finance / Financial Operations team of 4-6 people
  • Experience managing a geographically dispersed team

Responsibilities

Design & execute the fund management & liquidity strategy for Global Accounts operations

  • Understand all fund flows, their volumes, and their liquidity requirements, in order to design the right strategy to support these operations
  • Design & execute on the strategy to manage liquidity in the most operationally and cost effective manner for Xendit. Adjust strategy as needed
  • Monitor funds across the region through the day to ensure correct allocation across accounts and currencies

Monitor Global Accounts & FX operations to ensure seamless execution

  • Execution of Global Accounts & FX operations will be done by the existing Financial Operations team. Oversee and guide the operations to ensure that there are no errors or disruptions to merchant flows
  • Create or update SOPs as required to correct operations and ensure they all follow best practices
  • Address and manage any operational issues or escalations independently

Operational improvements & reporting

  • Focus on the processes and tooling to enable the execution of cross border fund flows and liquidity operations
  • Report on Global Accounts operations and liquidity statuses to the Financial Operations Head and to broader leadership as required
  • ⁠⁠Own and drive Global Accounts & FX metrics such as efficiency and accuracy

Work closely with various internal teams to drive success

  • The reconciliations of all fund flows are done by a centralised team. Work closely with this team on all Global Accounts / FX recons to ensure they have the information they need and to address any questions / unreconciled items that arise
  • As the product continues to evolve, partner closely with the product team to give feedback on the product and provide FinOps’ input and requests, to ensure future builds and evolutions meet our operational requirements
  • Solve complex problems by working across product, regional partnerships, treasury, compliance, sales and growth teams to ensure FinOps is able to support all aspects of our Global Accounts
