The Capital Planning function supports enterprise capital allocation and investment governance through financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and decision support.
This position sits within our Atlanta based Global Support Center with an expectation to be onsite 80% of the time.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
- Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting in support of enterprise capital planning and investment governance
- Evaluate capital investments and strategic initiatives across a multi-brand portfolio
- Monitor financial performance against approved budgets and forecasts
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, and cross-functional stakeholders to support informed decision making
- Translate financial data into clear, decision useful insights for senior leadership and Board review
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain financial models supporting capital investment decisions, including business cases, sensitivity analysis, and return metrics (NPV, IRR, ROI)
- Support long-range planning, annual operating plans, and periodic forecasts for enterprise initiatives
- Perform monthly and quarterly variance analysis for budget vs. forecast vs. actual results; identify and explain key drivers
- Partner with project owners and functional leaders to evaluate project spend, timing, and expected value realization
- Coordinate with Finance and Accounting to ensure project spend is accurately reflected in the General Ledger, forecasts, and reporting
- Maintain and enhance cost tracking, reporting, and forecasting processes, including documentation of standard operating procedures
- Support preparation of executive level and Board level materials related to capital investments and strategic initiatives
- Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and decision support as requested by management
- Communicate and coordinate regularly with cross-functional partners, including Information Technology and Finance
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Preferred: Advanced education or professional certifications related to finance or analytics
- Required: 4–7 years of relevant experience in FP&A, capital planning, project finance, or a related finance function
- Preferred:
- Experience supporting senior leaders in a complex, matrixed organization
- Experience in a multi-brand, retail, or restaurant environment
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, OR ABILITIES
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and accounting principles
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail and focus on data accuracy
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Effective written and verbal communication skills

- Provides financial recommendations that inform capital investment and planning decisions
