Job Summary: This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Incumbent serves as a Financial Management Analyst providing federal service developing, determining, and interpreting budgetary policies and practices utilizing financial automation systems. This position is at Patuxent River.

Major Duties:

  • Review financial which includes GFEBS, PIEE/WAWF, DTS, DMLSS, ATAAPS, and DCPS.
  • Provide financial analysis support across key departments, ensuring accurate reports for the Defense Health Agency’s Direct Care Financial Management.
  • Run daily GFEBS general ledger reports to analyze data for audit.
  • Work independently as a Customer Service Representative in direct support of the civilian employee payroll accounts.
  • Coordinate with the Budget to determine validity of purchase request obligation transactions.
  • Provide routine timelines support, regular biweekly payroll cycles.
  • Perform analyses of relevant financial data by using the United Stated Standard General Ledger (USSGL) and associated General Ledger Accounting Classifications (GLACs).

Basic Requirements for Financial Management Analyst GS-09 level: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) interpreting budgetary policies 2) utilizing financial automation systems to input process budgetary spending plans 3) and preparing budget estimate reports. OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Finance, Accounting, or Economy (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR COMBINATION EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
