Job Summary

The Financial Controller for Engineering at Stoneridge Electronics supports the financial management of Product Management, Project Management, and Engineering, reporting to the Global D&D Finance Manager. This international role spans the entire product lifecycle, from customer requests to production. A key responsibility is guiding product teams through the gate process and building business cases for development approval. During project execution, the controller assists with financial reporting and risk assessments. Additionally, the role supports local finance teams with forecasting and budgeting for design and development activities.

What you’ll do

  • Support the creation of business cases and guide them through the financial approval process.
  • Assist project teams with forecasting, reporting, and identifying financial irregularities for escalation.
  • Manage financial aspects of global R&D resources, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Contribute to accurate financial forecasting and budgeting for engineering activities worldwide.
  • Deliver monthly and flash reports, analyze project performance, and highlight risks and opportunities to stakeholders.

What you bring

  • Proven experience in project cost control, including forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Strong background in financial planning and analysis, preferably within engineering or R&D environments.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams with budgeting and financial decision-making.
  • Familiarity with international finance operations and multi-site collaboration.
  • Ability to interpret technical and logistical project details to provide accurate financial guidance.
  • Currently residing in the Netherlands and legally allowed to work.

  • Full-time employment of 40 hours per week in Barneveld/ not hybrid.
  • 8% holiday allowance.
  • Travel allowance home-work: 23ct per kilometers one way up to a maximum of 50 km

  • Retirement: PME (Pensioenfonds Metalektro).
  • WIA: WIA-bodem, WGA-hiaat en WGA- hiaat additional insurances in accordance with the stipulated provisions.
  • PAWW: Compulsory supplementary insurance when the statutory unemployment WW or WGA benefit expires.
  • Holiday days: 27 days on an annual basis (full-time).
  • ATV: 13 days on an annual basis (full-time).
