WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As a Financial Controller at EOS IT Solutions, you will help to lead our full multi-national finance function—overseeing reporting, controls, forecasting, compliance, and team leadership—to ensure accurate financial management and strategic support for the business. The successful candidate will work out of our global HQ in Banbridge, Northern Ireland.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing to produce accurate reports including
  • balance sheets, P&L, and cash flow statements.
  • Prepare internal/external statutory, regulatory, and management reporting.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Variance Analysis
  • Lead budget and forecast development in collaboration with department heads.
  • Analyze variances and provide meaningful insights to senior management.
  • Develop, implement, and review controls to safeguard assets, mitigate risks, and ensure regulatory compliance (e.g. HMRC, GAAP, IFRS).
  • Facilitate internal and external audits, serving as liaison with auditors.
  • Track and forecast cash flow; optimize working capital and liquidity management.
  • Manage deadlines and requirements for tax filings and financial regulations.
  • Supervise the finance team (accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, etc.).
  • Provide performance feedback and professional development.
  • Improve finance processes and systems (ERP upgrades, automation) for efficiency.
  • Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making in areas like pricing, investment, and cost optimisation.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Proficient in UK GAAP/IFRS and tax regulations.
  • ERP systems experience (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Xero, Sage).
  • Strong ability in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
  • High-level budget, variance, forecasting analysis, and forward-looking orientation.
  • Proven team leadership and interpersonal influence across functions.
  • Clear communication of financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong ethical standards, attention to detail, and a control-minded approach.
  • Capability to evolve processes, align finance with business goals, and manage change.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; a master's degree (MBA, MSc) is advantageous.
  • Professional certification preference (CMA, CIMA, ACCA, or ACA/CPA).
  • Minimum 5-10 years in accounting/finance, with solid experience in senior roles.
  • Demonstrable experience in regulatory environments (e.g., audit cycles, tax regimes).

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Expertise in ERP implementation or financial systems integration.
  • Industry-specific experience (e.g., logistics, engineering, tech).
  • Previous exposure to multinational consolidation.
