The Financial Controller will support finance activities to provide high-class finance service and ensure on-time, consistent and accurate delivery of financial records. S/He will support developing/maintaining solid control environment.

Ensures that day-to-day and closing accounting operations of assigned tasks are performed in accordance with established Brunswick accounting policies and deadlines.

Ensures accurate and timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.

Manages VAT, Intrastat reporting and ICP reporting.

  • Provides direct assistance to the Finance Manager in the following areas:
  • · Lead and participate in business process documentation validation, analysis and verification of internal controls, both financial and operational in accordance with SOX, company policy and other applicable legislation
  • · Update all business processes on an annual basis · Proactively diagnose any control issues and elaborate solutions to deliver continuous improvements in business performance
  • · Assist management with implementation of improvements
  • · Support external / internal audits.

Review of credit files on a yearly basis and approve credit lines according to the DoA.

Understands the dynamics and tasks of finance team and is able to back-up when necessary.

Supports the team in maintaining finance related master data in D365

Develops a good understanding of the markets in which the company operates and has a sound knowledge of the financial dynamics of the business

Helps working on financial projects aimed at improving processes or aimed at answering BC/division/BME requirements.

Operates in line with company policies and procedures, especially relating to SOX, company ethics program and company’s health, safety and environmental policies.

  • Improve processes touching accounting and business governance.
  • Prevent Sox deficiency
  • Timely answer to customers (external or internal) questions

Skills and Knowledge:

Education Accounting / Financial degree

  • Experience 3 years postgraduate experience in audit (external or internal).
  • Experience in an International environment preferred with a proven ability to work in team

IT Skills

  • Strong knowledge of excel Proficient in MS Office incl PowerBI

Language Ability

  • Fluent in Dutch and English German is an asset

Specific Job Skills

  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley policies and requirements Knowledge of US GAAP and COSO

This exciting position is classified as Global Grade 11 and offers a salary between €62,500 to €75,000 (payable in 12.96 instalments). Please be aware that this range represents the pay range for all positions within the job grade in which the post falls. The actual salary offer will consider a wide range of factors, including skills, experience, and location (country).
