We are actively hiring for a Financial Consultant - Commercial Lines (Remote)

Your Role: As a Financial Consultant, you will lead complex financial and operational analyses and drive informed, strategic decision-making. You will develop resolutions to issues and broad design matters of moderate to high degree of complexity to address business needs within our Financial Planning & Analysis function. Serving as a trusted advisor, you will identify trends and implement innovative solutions that support sustainable, profitable growth. In this role, you will support our growing Commercial Lines division, providing financial counsel for technology driven insurance solutions tailored to the evolving needs of the mobility market.

Your Work:

  • Partner with senior business leaders to support strategic decision-making through ongoing business development with Commercial leadership team and cross-functional partners. 
  • Assess key assumptions, risks, and opportunities, translating financial impacts into actionable insights and complex financial models that ensure investments drive profitable growth.
  • Lead the Commercial Lines division quarterly forecasting and planning process, collaborating cross-functionally to develop comprehensive financial plans and operational expense budgets.
  • Communicate clear, data-driven insights into forecasts and plans to inform performance management and strategic priorities.
  • Lead management and Board of Directors (BOD) reporting, including complex analyses of the Commercial Lines P&L, Balance Sheet, Reinsurance, and operational expenses.
  • Support FP&A transformation initiatives by developing resolutions to enhance insights, improve efficiency, and strengthen tools and processes across the organization.
  • Use analytical skills to identify problems and develop solutions, with a focus on data-driven insights.

Required Experience, Education and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in related area (Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, etc.) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of related professional experience including 5+ years of experience supporting FP&A / Treasury functions required.
  • Advanced analytical skills to effectively identify problems and develop solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Income Statement and Balance Sheet components and their interrelationship. Experience in Balance Sheet reporting and cash forecasting.
  • Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with business leaders at all levels, drive consensus, and facilitate effective decision-making.
  • Experience with data extraction and uploading in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) systems.
  • Skills to accurately complete detailed data assignments, understand and interpret broad operational / product / financial concepts and their application to CSAA IG.
  • Experience with operational / product / financial measures and models, business planning, cost/benefit analysis, project management and senior level analysis.
  • Ability to lead peers and provide training and guidance to others.

  • Experience with capital management in the insurance industry preferred.
  • Oracle experience preferred, but not required.
  • Understanding of insurance industry trends, regulatory requirements, and business practices, including knowledge of insurance products, distribution channels, and risk management strategies.
  • Strong understanding of the use and development of operational models and other related reporting software.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
