- We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Regulatory Reporting Specialist to join our US CFO function in Mumbai, India. The US CFO function is responsible for driving sustainable financial performance across the United States by providing high-quality financial insight, disciplined cost and resource management, and a strong financial control and governance framework. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with regulatory or financial reporting experience to contribute to this mission. You will play a crucial role in contributing to the preparation, review, and submission of timely and accurate regulatory reports to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and other regulatory bodies, directly safeguarding the financial stability of Deutsche Bank USA and maintaining its license to operate. You will work closely with experienced professionals in a collaborative and global environment, gaining valuable insights into the complexities of a global financial institution. Your key responsibilities
- Contribute to the preparation, review, and submission of regulatory report filings with regulatory bodies such as FRY-9C, FRY-9LP, FRY-12, FRY-15, and FFIEC 009, as well as other relevant regulatory reports.
- Assist in analyzing the impact of, developing positions toward, and commenting on proposed and final regulatory rules.
- Support the preparation and presentation of quarterly analytics and variance analyses for due diligence with senior management and functional partners.
- Develop a deep understanding of the end-to-end regulatory report production lifecycle and data lineage.
- Contribute to maintaining a strong focus on internal controls and documentation of procedures and governance for the reports.
- Perform research on changes in new regulatory reporting requirements and accounting standards and their impact on the organization's reporting requirements.
- Assist in the identification, escalation, and remediation of data quality enhancements.
- Collaborate effectively with diverse internal teams across different regions to ensure seamless reporting, and build and maintain strong working relationships with the onshore US CFO team.
Your skills and experience
- 3+ years of regulatory or financial reporting experience within a Regulatory of Finance Reporting function, including knowledge of accounting requirements.
- Eagerness to learn new regulatory frameworks and a demonstrated ability to quickly grasp complex financial concepts.
- Well-developed organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, aligned with excellent attention to detail and time management.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
- CPA, MBA, or advanced degree beneficial.
- Knowledge of regulatory and financial reporting tools (e.g., Axiom, SAP), general ledgers, offered products, and their related activities is a plus.
- Experience working with large amounts of data in Excel and a willingness to learn and apply various data processing tools like Python and PowerQuery.
- Familiarity with SAP and a keen interest in applying innovative technologies, including AI, for process improvement.
- Strong written and oral communication skills required, with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with strict reporting deadlines.
- Public accounting firm experience with financial institution clients is a plus.
- Possess database/data warehouse management and other related reporting skills.
