Financial Analyst / Senior Financial Analyst, Strategic & Financial Planning

We are seeking a quantitatively oriented Financial Analyst / Senior Financial Analyst to join our Strategic & Financial Planning team. The Strategic & Financial Planning team sits at the center of Lantern’s financial and strategic decision-making, partnering with executive leadership on capital allocation, long-range planning, and growth initiatives. This individual will support Lantern’s financial decision-making through budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and other special projects that inform business performance and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a desire to grow within a collaborative finance team. 

Location: Hybrid | Dallas, TX, USA | 3+ days per week in-office

Responsibilities:

  • Support Lantern’s annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes 
  • Build and maintain financial models to analyze revenue, costs, utilization, and unit economics 
  • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and highlight risks and opportunities 
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business drivers and support decision-making 
  • Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs for internal stakeholders and leadership
  • Help improve FP&A processes, tools, and models to enhance accuracy and efficiency 
  • Support evaluation of new growth initiatives, pricing strategies, and capital allocation (including M&A) 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field 
  • 1–3 years (Financial Analyst) or 3-5 years (Senior Financial Analyst) of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or a related role 
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with high attention to detail 
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort building financial models 
  • Ability to work with large datasets and synthesize insights clearly 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally 

Strong Candidates will:

  • Be highly analytical and data-driven in their approach to problem solving 
  • Be able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and prioritize in ambiguous situations Take ownership of analyses and follow through to completion 
  • Be curious, coachable, and eager to learn 
  • Communicate clearly using data and financial insights 
  • Understand / have experience with cohort analyses and/or utilization modeling 
  • Have experience with SQL, Power BI, NetSuite, Databricks or similar tools
