Position Summary
The Pricing Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting profitable growth through rigorous pricing analysis, quote review, and optimization of price agreements. This role partners closely with Sales, Commercial Leaders, and Finance to ensure margin protection, analysis of realized price (RP) impact and efficient pricing processes.
Key Responsibilities
– A dedicated position for Commercial Pricing.
1. Strategic Pricing & Annual Price Agreement (PA) Management
Annual PA Review
- Lead the annual review of customer Price Agreements, analyzing sales discounts by customers and SKU to identify opportunities to adjust, remove, or create PA lines.
- Recommend discount changes to commercial leaders based on profitability, customer behavior, and portfolio strategy.
- Ensure accurate and timely loading of approved PAs into SFDC and subsequent ERP systems.
List Price Assessment
- Support planning and execution of list price increase projects (e.g., annual and in-year price increases), coordinating with stakeholders across Sales, Commercial, and Operations.
- Prepare analytical inputs and scenario analyses to determine optimal price increase strategies by segment and product.
- Track execution progress and realized outcomes versus plan, and provide feedback to improve future cycles.
2. Quote Review & Deal Management
- Commercial Deal Review: Review and approve sales quotations (Short-term, Long-term, and Custom/OEM quotes). Analyze the appropriateness of selling prices to protect margins and prevent drastic price drops compared to the previous year’s Average Selling Price (ASP).
- Approval Authority: Act as the final approval gate for quotes falling into specific margin ranges or below floor prices. collaborate with Sales Managers, Division Leaders, and Global/APJ Commercial Leaders for high-value approvals
- Margin & Impact Analysis: Perform detailed analysis on margin and Realized Price (RP) impact for claimed quotes prior to approval.
3. Pricing Analytics & Performance Tracking
- Realized Price (RP) Calculation: Analyze year-over-year price variances at the Customer/SKU level to track profitability. Quantify price impact in value ($) and margin terms, highlighting key drivers such as list price changes, discounts, mix, and volume.
- Quote Justification: Maintain detailed history and justification for approved quotes within SFDC to ensure auditability and data integrity.
4. Process Improvement, Automation & Data Quality
- Drive pricing process improvements, including PA harmonization, reduction of duplicate PA lines, and simplification of approval flows.
- Design and enhance tools and automation for PA revision and quote review using Power Query, Excel macros, RPA, and AI-enabled solutions.
- Ensure data integrity across SFDC, ERP, and pricing tools, proactively identifying and resolving inconsistencies.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Pricing, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or Commercial Finance.
- Experience in the Bioscience or Healthcare industry is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Advanced Excel: Proficiency in Power Query and Macros/VBA is highly preferred.
- Systems: Hands-on experience with Salesforce (SFDC) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP/E1).
- Automation Tools: Experience with or a strong interest in learning RPA tools (e.g., UiPath) and leveraging AI for business productivity.
- Business-level proficiency in English (verbal/written)
