Why this role is important

As a Financial Analyst, you will provide financial planning, analysis, and insights that shape strategy and support decision-making for PC Financial. This role has a primary focus on the bank’s acquisition and direct operating expenses, managing the end-to-end financial processes and providing insights to help increase cost efficiencies. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally to provide forward-looking analysis, and partner with business leaders to improve financial outcomes.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly results reporting for various internal and external stakeholders
  • Support management reporting by analyzing month end/quarterly results, coordinating with business partners to understand drivers, provide insightful analysis, and prepare information material for leadership
  • Build and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning, assisting with forecasting improvements and methodologies to provide insightful analysis
  • Frequent ad-hoc requests, reports and analysis

What you bring:

  • Post-Secondary Degree in a business related field (Business Administration, Commerce)
  • CPA/CFA designation is an asset
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Applications, most notably Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in programming languages (i.e., Python, SQL) and Data visualization tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau) is an asset
  • Results oriented – ability to prioritize and consistently deliver on time with high level of accuracy
  • Excellent social skills when working with multiple stakeholders to garner consensus
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be analytical and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast paced environment, both independently and as part of a team
