Financial Analyst (m/f/d) 

The Opportunity  

This position is based our of our Wiesbaden, Abbott GmbH, location in our diabetes care business (ADC).

As a Financial Analyst (m/f/d), you will play a key role in supporting the month‑end close for Germany and the DACH region. Your responsibilities include preparing journal entries, accruals, and reclasses, producing Flash reports and Actuals commentary, and contributing to balance sheet analysis, forecasting, and reconciliation. You will also oversee Freight and Distribution expense management and collaborate closely with internal IT teams to ensure accurate data flow and continuous improvements in data quality.


In addition, you will support internal and external audit requests, ensuring timely documentation and compliance with financial standards. You will also contribute to improvement projects and training initiatives across the finance function.


This position reports to the Finance Manager, Germany.

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinator of DACH Month-end close process.
  • Prepare the monthly, quarterly financial reporting packages.
  • Support the Finance team in the development of Plan/LBEs/OEM cycles.
  • Support Balance Sheet analysis, forecast and reconciliation.
  • Manage Freight and Distribution expenses.
  • Advocate and train on relevant policies to ensure compliance to processes within ADC Germany.
  • Deliver regular as well as ad-hoc reporting and analyses.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance/Accounting.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience in controlling or finance, preferably in a multinational company.
  • Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced SAP skills.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Strong analytical and leadership skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Capability to challenge the status quo and develop process improvements.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, quantitative, and investigative skills.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving ability and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines.
