Location: Nationwide  - Onsite at government facilities

Clearance: Moderate Risk Background Investigation (MBI) 

Schedule: Due to the nature of law enforcement work and operation, position may require occasional support outside of core working hours, as well as intermittent weekend support, mission dependent

Salary: $75,000-90,000/Annual

Job Summary: 

The Financial Analyst provides analytical, research, and reporting support to the Asset Forfeiture Program, evaluating financial data, trends, transactions, and case-related documentation to support investigations, budget forecasting, financial accountability, and program performance.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial documents, accounting statements, bank records, and transaction histories for investigative or compliance purposes. 
  • Develop spreadsheets, charts, exhibits, and financial models in support of program reporting and litigation activities. 
  • Review and validate financial information for accuracy, discrepancies, and potential fraud indicators. 
  • Prepare summaries of findings, audit packets, reports, and presentations for investigators and legal staff. 
  •  Assist in developing budget projections, cost estimates, forecasts, and burn rate analysis for program operations. 
  •  Research and document financial patterns related to asset movements, case expenditures, and seized asset valuations. 
  • Maintain financial tracking files and audit support documents in accordance with federal guidelines. 
  •  Perform other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field. 
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in financial analysis, auditing, accounting, or equivalent analytical work. 
  • Experience working with financial data, ledgers, or transactional reporting systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools. 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. 
  • Knowledge of financial reporting, spreadsheet modeling, and accounting principles. 
  • Skill in identifying financial anomalies, patterns, or irregularities. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presentations. 
  • Ability to work with investigators, attorneys, and leadership in a federal law enforcement environment. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and shifting priorities. 

Clearance: 

Applicants selected may be subject to a government background investigation and may be required to meet the following conditions of employment.

Security Requirements/Background Investigation Requirements: 

  • Must be a U.S Citizen
  • Favorable credit check for all cleared positions 
  • Residency requirement - 3 consecutive years in the last 5 years 
  • Successfully passing a background investigation including drug screening.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged computer-based work and extended screen time. 
  • Occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. for records or office supplies. 
  • Work performed in an office environment.
